Why do you like Nagito Komaeda? Like, what's it is about him that makes you go "oh, that's a cool character". Just to clarify, I'm looking for serious responses, not any joke answers please.
As for why I like him, well, I don't really like him as a person as he has done a lot of bad stuff but as a character I think he's really interesting. He's whole idea behind hope and despair, that despair brings hope and hope brings despair makes sense to him as his luck cycle is very much the same and honestly, I have to agree with Komaeda that that hope and despair are two sides of the same coin. I also kinda like because he generally what's to help but goes about the completely wrong way but like I said, he's definitely not a good person. But yeah, there's something other stuff I would like to say but I won't here as I haven't got time.
DRV2 SPOILERS BELOW. ALSO TW, MENTIONS OF SUICIDE.
Well, his personality in my opinion is extremely well done, a tutorial guide at first, making you think he’s the helper (like Chiaki yknow.) then later in Chapter 1’s trial he was shown to be the ‘antagonist’ character like Byakuya and Kokichi. Out of the DRV2 cast, I feel like he’s the most important character next to Hajime, Chiaki and the other Byakuya. (If you know what I mean.) For me, he’s just a well done character in general, also pretty lovable in my opinion. His character design is pretty cool too! It’s pretty decieving, making you think he’s a friendly, chill guy. It just suits him and Chapter 1’s twist. He’s probably the most smart out of the cast as he discovered about the Neo Program AND about the remnants of despair and how their memories got wiped, he also discovered about the Ultimate Imposter and planned one of the most trickiest cases in the game, a murder disguised as a suicide disguised as a murder. Very smart of him. Overall, I just like the important characters, they stand out to me most.
